I was contacted for a one month mission to develop a .NET application using Winforms with C#.
The application had to be user friendly, usable from everywhere with an Internet connection.
The goal was the management of entries in a MS SQL server so it was possible :
To Read, add, remove all the different entries in the database,
To generate charts, save them as a file or simply print them,
To manage different level of users (Administrator/Technician/Simple Member) with a login system,
To show alerts on redundant entries,
To allow a simple reconfiguration of the SQL Server connection settings.
I learned a lot on the .NET Framework 3.5, ADO.NET and MS SQL server 2005/2008.
Some adds were made to the scope statement, and an extra mission was given to me :
The aim was to modify a C# application to allow it to use a MS SQL server instead of Oracle.
This was my first serious job with a real scope statement as .NET developer and it was a really good experience.
